We first met Aleks and Nat at their engagement party, where we photographed a special celebration that brought their family and friends together ahead of their big day. Eight months later, they got in touch to ask us if we could shoot their pre-wedding photos. We talked about the vision they had in mind - a timeless, editorial-style shoot in the sandstone heart of Sydney's CBD. You may be wondering, with a wedding so close, what's the point of organising a pre-wedding shoot?
Aside from the fun of taking photos with your partner (it's a pretty unique date idea, we must say!) this couple had a few practical reasons for their portraits. They used the photos to decorate their wedding favours, and it was an opportunity for the bride to be to trial how her wedding hair and make up would look when photographed. Also, without the time constraints of an actual wedding day, we got to create some truly magical moments in front of the Art Gallery of Sydney.
If you're thinking of booking a pre-wedding session, this is your sign to do it. It's such a fun way to bond with your fiancee in the final countdown to your wedding day, and gives you beautiful memories to look back on. We should add that our full day wedding package includes a complimentary pre-wedding shoot, because there's nothing that puts you at ease on your wedding day than already knowing and vibing with your photographers.
