Partners in business and in life, Vanessa and Jean-Paul started Vanjon Creative in 2022, and were married a few months later.
Our approach to photography is anything but traditional.
We believe in bringing out the unique character of each couple, family or event we photograph. We pride ourselves on capturing candid and natural moments that feel timeless and true to you.
When we're not behind the lens, you can find us exploring the South Coast, on an ice skating rink, snacking on açai bowls or brainstorming creative ways to capture your next event.

Jean-Paul
Jean-Paul has worked as a graphic designer and photographer across the globe, with a portfolio spanning over Dubai, Lebanon and Australia. Now a sought-after architectural and product photographer, some of his recent clients include Marblous Group, Aldo Brodic, Bondi Blend and Brando Shoes. While a successful commercial photographer, Jean-Paul's true passion lies in the spontaneity and creativity of event photography. He's also madly in love with Vanessa.
Vanessa
Aside from being a published illustrator and academic, Vanessa has worked as a media strategist across Federal politics and the not-for-profit sector. Her forays in photography have included producing creative work for Federal and State Parliamentarians, as well as shooting events of every scale. Vanessa's real passion is lifestyle photography and portrait sessions, where she can work one-on-one with clients. She's also madly in love with Jean-Paul.

WHAT ARE YOUR PRICES & PACKAGES?
We're excited you're asking us this, because it means you must love our work and our approach, and want to create some memories together! Send us through an enquiry and we will shoot through our Package and Investment Guide. Please do note that our minimum fee for events is $400, covering the first hour.
DO YOU TRAVEL?
As much as we can! A flat travel fee of $100 may apply to sessions located more than 25KM from 2049, NSW. We service all of Sydney, but are willing to travel for weddings and elopements, particularly along the South Coast of New South Wales and Canberra.
HOW MANY IMAGES WILL BE DELIVERED?
We'll iron out the details in your contract, but if you meet our minimum fee of $400, we will supply unlimited images from your session. That means you will get your full gallery of images—colour corrected, retouched and edited.
DO YOU GIVE OUT RAW / UNEDITED IMAGES?
We do not, and if you're asking this, you probably don't know what a RAW file is, so let us explain. A RAW file is a type of image that includes as much data and detail as possible. It contains all of the 'ingredients' to make a photograph, but it must be processed and colour-corrected before it can be viewed, downloaded or printed. In the days of film, a photographer would develop a negative in the dark room. Think of a RAW file like a film negative. The file is useless until it is processed. We don't supply our images unedited because it would be like serving you a half-cooked meal. When you hire us as your photographers, you are hiring us to not only take but also edit your imagery, turning it into art.
DO YOU DO BIRTHDAY PARTIES OR CORPORATE EVENTS?
We're flattered you're thinking of us, but no, we don't offer photography for birthday parties or corporate events. The services we offer are listed on our enquiry form, and if there's any confusion about where your event fits in, feel free to shoot through an email.
WHO WILL BE OUR PHOTOGRAPHER ON THE DAY?
We will let you know in advance who your photographer will be when we reach out to confirm a week prior to the session. Where possible, we will try to cover your shoot together, particularly if it's an event that benefits from a second shooter, such as a christening or wedding. If you have a preference for a female or male photographer, please make this known when you enquire to avoid any disappointment.
WE'RE READY TO BOOK - WHAT NEXT?
We love your enthusiasm! We ask that you fill out our enquiry form so we can check our availability. If the stars align, we will send over a contract and request a 50% deposit to secure your booking. We cannot hold a date until we receive your deposit and contract. Once we're locked in, we'll send you a short questionnaire to learn a little more about you, create a mood board together and, if you prefer, have a little chat over the phone to consult further for your session.
